I am writing to you to express our complete satisfaction that my family experienced during the sale of the family home at 1456 Thurlow Road, Victoria B.C.
In particular we want to express our gratitude in the outstanding service we received from our DFH Real Estate Ltd. Sales Agent, Peter Crichton.
Selling a family home is in itself an emotional experience and more so when you are conducting the sale from Oakville and Victoria.
Peter was very understanding, patient, and provided us with solid professional counsel.
This was not a simple transaction; at one point we entertained the idea of developing the property ourselves rather than selling to a developer. With Peter’s guidance, we pursued the idea, had surveyor’s plans drawn and even had an initial meeting with the City of Victoria Planning department.
Ultimately we decided that our inexperience and the lengthy time required to secure a satisfactory decision from the city was not in our favour.
Throughout this whole process, Peter’s calm demeanor and sound advice kept us from making some serious errors in judgment.
We had contact with two other Victoria Real Estate Firms before we selected Peter as our Sales Agent. In both cases each individual was only interested in a quick flip of the property. Both low-balled their suggested selling price, stating that the Fairfield real estate market was soft and that we should take their selling price if we wanted to sell the property.
Peter was selected based on two criteria:
(one) The first house I purchased was through Dominic Hanley of DFH Real Estate. That experience, some 37 years ago, I found to be excellent.
(two) Peter has a great web site; which I found to be a strong deciding factor.
After my first contact with Peter I was sure that we had made the right Sales Agent selection.
